Senior School is about preparing for the HSC, developing leadership skills and preparing to transition from school to either work or tertiary study. The school offers a vast range of subjects both within the school, through vocational courses and distance education. Students can externally undertake part-time study via the Board of Studies Pathways program. The school aims to achieve above average results in most subjects in the Higher School Certificate. The school provides a wide range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses delivered by Registered Training Organisations. Course information is available on the VocEd Briefcase.
Students can elect for training as student mentors to Year 7 and 8. Further opportunities are also available for ‘Peer Support’ and the associated leadership.
The Senior Academic Adviser has, as one of their primary goals, to monitor the progress of the students and help them set realistic goals. Year Meetings are used to help the students establish these goals and provide resources for them to develop personal organisation skills and disciplines. These meetings are used to help students understand what it means to be a Christian adult.
